XC Tracer parameters

The XC Tracer from XCTracer determines the barometric height as well as the GPS coordinates. It uses the iPad's or iPhone's Bluetooth LTE interface for data transfer.

Because of the fact that the XC Tracer delivers quickly new height values with high accuracy SkyLogger becomes together with its built-in climb rate acoustics a fully functional variometer!

To prevent device dependent height variations, different filters can be set. But as the XC Tracer uses already internally filters it is in general not necessary to use these external filters. These external filters can lead to a slower response time of the altitude determination and to lower peak altitude values!

The provided GPS coordinates from the XC Tracer accessory can be used alternatively to the iPad's or iPhone's GPS coordinates to track the flight's path. By doing so the iPad's or iPhone's battery load is lower.
