Parameters for climb rate traces
Preferences for the traces of climb rate values can be entered individually for the length of the trace as well as for the size
and color of the points. The later parameters indicate the strength of the climb or sink rate.
In the first row the length of the trace can be set. Points that are at the "end" of the trace - they are therefore old - fade out by time. Points older than the length of the trace become invisible.
The strength of the climb rate is represented by the radius of the points: a large absolute climb rate value leads to a large point, a low absolute climb rate to a small point. The minimum radius is used for points with an absolute climb rate value of zero. For the maximum climb rate value the point size is equal to the maximum radius. If the absolute value of the climb rate is larger than the set value the point's size does not increase further but is limited to the maximum radius. Climb rate values between zero and the maximum entered climb rate value lead to points with a radius between the minimum and maximum radius.
At the end of the page the colors for climbing and sinking can be modified.
Remarks: The strength of the value of the climb rate does not have any influence on the color of the point!
