Statistics

For a player three different statistics are available:

  • performance statistics
  • ratings
  • opening performance statistics

Performance statistics

If available, the performance of a player is shown on the first statistics page. This page only exists if games of the player exist in the database.

The performance chart is subdivided into two parts. The inner circle shows the number of wins (green), draws(grey), losses(red) and unknown results (blue) and the corresponding percentage values.

The outer ring separates the values by color the player had when achieving the mentioned performance. A slightly lighter color (normally the first color) indicates that the player played with white, a darker color indicates black. The shown numbers are absolute numbers - the sum of these numbers for a win, draw etc. is identical to the corresponding number of the inner circle. The shown percentages however are related to the performance with the same color (e.g. by adding up the percentages of all lighter colors - player played with white - the result is 100% (despite some rounding errors))!

Ratings

The historical ratings are shown on the next page. This page only exists if ratings have been manually entered or have been mentioned as part of a game's data during an import.

The graph shows only the data of one type of rating. To select the type of rating the ratings button in the lower toolbar should be touched. By doing so a popover opens that shows all supported types of ratings. After the selection of a rating type the popover automatically disappears and shows the selected ratings (if existing).

Opening performance statistics

The last page visualizes the player's performance with respect to an opening specified by a classification code. This page only exists if games for the player exist and the database contains at least one classification system.

The diagram shows for each classification code - that is used for the classification of at least one game - the number of wins (green), draws (grey), losses (red) or unknown results (blue).

As a default the performance is shown for any game with the specified classification code involving the selected player. This is indicated by the button with the title "Both" in the lower toolbar. By touching this button the statistics can be refined by taking into account the player's piece color.

If multiple classification systems exist in the database, the button in lower toolbar's center can be used to choose from the available classification systems.
