Toolbar

The toolbar contains nine buttons. The upper seven are used to navigation through a game or a move graph. The last but one button toggles the orientation of the board, while the last one changes the game mode.

Buttons for navigation

Touching this button has the effect to go back to the beginning of a variation. When currently being in the main variation of a game, the initial position will be reached.

Using this button goes back a half move in the same variation. When being at the beginning of a variation, the button is disabled. When located in the main variation of a game, you can go back to till the initial position is reached.

This button allows to go back one half move. In this case it is irrelevant if the previous half move is part of the same or another variation. By touching the button multiple times the initial position of the game can be reached.

Using this button the next half move in the same variation will be executed. This button is not enabled if the end of a variation has been reached.

This button allows to go till the end of the current variation. Has the end of the variation already been reached, the button is disabled.

Touching this button moves to the position of a previous variation. If no previous variation exists, the button is disabled.

By using this button the position of the next variation can be reached. If no next variation exists, the button is disabled.

Toggling the board's orientation

With this button the orientation of the board can be changed. The board orientation is not in the current board view effective but has effect also on board that are indirectly related to the current board. As an example: the board to for searching a specific position in games has the same orientation.

Buttons for the game mode

This button indictes the game mode is currently the replay mode (only move can be executed that exist in the shown game or move graph).

This button indicates the analysis mode. All theoretical possible moves can be executed, comments or game data can be entered or modified as well. All the modifying actions are not executed in the database. Only if a decision is required to reflect back the action in the database or deleted them, the user is either asked what to do or - based on the set preferences - predefined actions are executed.

The game input mode is visualized by this button. All theoretical possible moves can be executed, comments or game data can be entered or modified as well. All the modifying actions are reflected back in the database. This means that insertions, modifications or deletions are immediately effective in the database.

Independent from the mode by touching this button the game mode can be changed.
